The First Credit Bureau Llp (FCB) was founded on July 29, 2004 by the top 7 banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with direct participation of the Financial Institutions’ Association of Kazakhstan and Financial Sector Initiative of the Pragma Corporation/USAID. As of January 1, 2005 the founders were: AllianceBank, ATF Bank, Bank TuranAlem, Bank CenterCredit, Kazcommertsbank, Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan, Tsesnabank.
Concurrently with the foundation of the FCB, the founders made the decision to organize a tender to determine its strategic patner and supplier of the software and hardware needed. After multy-step selection process, in January 2005 the decision was made to have CreditInfo Group (Iceland) as a partner.
January 2006
Commercial activity commenced.
December 2005
All works completed for starting up commercial activity of the First Credit Bureau Llp.

November 2005
The Agency of the RK for Regulation and Supervision of Financial Markets and Financial Organizations (FSA) granted its License No.1 to the FCB.
October 2005
Preliminary downloading of data from banks for testing the system and communication channels between the participating banks was initiated.
September 2005
Downloading appropriate software and opening the access to the system for the participating banks to download their data.
August 2005
The server room and ancillary premises have been supplied with all necessary equipment and security systems pursuant to the laws of the RK.
May 2005
At the initiative of the FSA, and the Financial Institutions’ Association, the FCB has started to create an integrated data base for insurance companies in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
March 2005
The contract between the FCB and CreditInfo Group was signed and the organization of the integrated data base for creditors in the Republic of Kazakhstan began.
February 2005
The general meeting of participating banks made the decision to include the JSC Astana-Finance and CreditInfo Group as members.
